Nessa Feehan

Nessa Feehan is a Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner based in Birr Co. Offaly. Nessa first came to yoga in Madrid in 2006 to find relief from back troubles. She quickly realized that the benefits of regular yoga practice were innumerable and helped not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. In 2016 Nessa completed RYT200 teacher training with Vimoksha Yoga in Goa India with a view to strengthening and developing her personal practice. Upon return from India some friends convinced Nessa to give them regular classes, it was only then she realized how valuable it was to share this ancient and beautiful knowledge with others and made the decision to leave her language teaching job to focus on yoga.

In 2017 Nessa achieved a diploma in Myofascial yoga from Yoga Kula, Cordoba Spain which forms part of Holistic Yoga Therapy 220h and includes Structural Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for the Myofascial lines Myofascial Thai Yoga and Myofascial Yoga with balls. Later in the same year, she trained in Traditional Thai Massage, with Thai Spirit in Cadiz Spain.

Nessa’s belief that yoga and lifestyle can help and benefit all people led her to further her studies a little closer to home and in 2020 she graduated as an Ayurvedic practitioner from Satmya in Killaloe.

Nessa believes that yoga is for everyone and offers weekly classes from the Yoga Room Birr, in gentle Hatha style classes suitable for everybody from complete beginners to more experienced practitioners, Chair Yoga for older people and people with reduced mobility, as well as weekend workshops, retreats and ayurvedic consultations and treatments.

All of Nessa’s classes, workshops and retreats combine her knowledge and experience of Yoga and Ayurveda in a holistic and approachable way.

In the future, Nessa hopes to continue her studies in Yoga and Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda to continue to help people find health, peace and happiness through the practice of yoga and ayurvedic principles.

After all, a healthy body + a healthy mind = a happy life.

Testimonials

Yoga allows me to focus on the movement and put other thoughts aside for the duration of the class. I find it really relaxing but also challenging. My flexibility has increased since I started classes and continues to improve each week. Nessa’s instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I’ve had a few classes with Nessa and I’ve loved every one of them. Nessa is clearly very knowledgeable and every posture was well explained, which was particularly helpful as I’m very much a beginner in my yoga practice. The sessions are so calming and restorative, I left each one feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
